Czar! or Tzar. He'll probably be the ruler of your house after all.

I know. I've been thinking about that but thought it would look more original spelled Zar. I'm just afraid it may be a difficult name to call and would sound kinda stupid if I was yelling "Tzar" outside. After all I've been taking Kili out a lot and lots of people see me recalling her at the park by calling her name. That's yet another reason I could never give a parrot a human name. Imagine me standing in the park calling "John! Cmon fly over here John and I'll give you a treat!" and how many heads would turn or maybe come over?

Thinking about this just confirms my previously listed criteria. I've actually gotten some interest cause of Kili's name and it's clear that I'm calling the bird. So I definitely need a name that falls in that kind of style. I don't like if they start with soft sounds because it's hard to call it and I need that for recall.

I know a number of birds with the name Zeus and a few with the name Milo.

I do like looking for a more uncommon name...I would have loved to change Petey and Joey's names when I got them, but they were already very responsive to their names. Oh well.

Raiden - God of thunder and lightning (Japanese)

Lono - God of Peace and Prosperity, Wind and Rain, Lord of the Sun (Hawaiian)

Pele - Goddess of Volcanoes (Hawaiian)

Uli - God of Sorcerers (Hawaiian)

Lado - God of marriage, mirth, pleasure and general happiness (Slavic)

Shiva - God of Giving and Happiness, Creator (Indian)

Vishnu - God of Courage, Knowledge and Power (Indian)

Arva - Half horse, half bird (Hindu)

Garuda - The King of Birds (Hindu)

And my favorite for what you want...

Ziz - The ziz is a giant bird in Jewish mythology, said to be large enough to be able to block out the sun with its wingspan; perhaps somewhat similar to a roc. Some say that the ziz was created to protect all of the class Aves and that if the ziz did not exist, all the smaller birds on Earth would be helpless and would have been killed.
