How about a little section for "Another animals/pets". I see a lot of Users have also different pets and they kinda stick their stories about them in off-toppic or in a different part of forums.
Maybe it will be better to open individual part for non-parrot pets. I see a lot of people here are not only parrots lovers, but animals lovers generally :)

Also, for those that have animals that could be a threat to their birds, perhaps some tips on keeping your bird safe? You know, precautions, putting bells on dog and cat collars...that sort of thing. Or even how to help introduce a parrot into a dog or cat home so that it doesn't get eaten right away. I understand it's a danger to have them regardless, but the truth is a lot of us have dogs and cats as well as parrots.

Something I'd like to see is more species FAQ. I found the budgie FAQ really helpful.

We should do a cockatiel FAQ and a GCC FAQ.

It would be great to have a FAQ for each of the most commonly owned birds on the forum.

a section for urgent questions and help . i read your post hear Michael

viewtopic.php?f=8&t=6085&p=40647&hilit=urgent#p40647

Stop asking for urgent help on this forum. This is a place for discussing concepts and long term care of parrots. If you have urgent issues, you need to see a professional and cannot rely on getting an answer here. This forum is not meant to be used in place of a veterinarian for medical or urgent parrot problems. For urgent matters, call or take your bird to a vet is the only advice I have.

why not the best parrot forum in the world .have an urgent questions sections

also a section for vets and medical question . some members would know solutions for specific problems and maybe some members just to ask about a good doctor nearby or somthing

An online forum is not the place to be asking urgent questions. Our members log in during different times of the day at their own convenience. If a parrot owner has an urgent question and is going to wait to get a response, it will be too late. Special section or not. Furthermore, members may not be qualified to answer matters that could require such urgency. We have few vets on here and they don't have to answer medical questions here. If you need to talk to a vet or have an urgent issue, call and pay a vet. It's their job to deal with those things. Now as for casual conversation about the various aspects of parrot ownership, that's what this forum is for.

Install the tapatalk plugin to this forum so people can use the tapatalk app to visit this site from their mobile phones!!

I surf the net just as much on my iPhone as I do on my laptop. And lemme tell you visiting forums using safari on the phone is not fun. Puhlease look into tapatalk!!

I've been thinking a training blog area would be fun. I've heard they're good to keep and it would be nice to watch other people's progress and be supportive. I currently have one in the Flight Recall Section.

I think other people would start some of their own if they say several others doing it.
