First order of business to whoever becomes the youtube channel maintainer, disable age display. I probably put a random birth date upon registration since it's for the forum.

Let's start brainstorming on our first video.

I think we should introduce ourselves and our birds. "Hi, my name is Alyssa, and I'm from Canada, and I own a cockatiel and two budgies"

We could also give a little introduction about what we are planning on doing with the channel.

We could say that we are different owners, from around the globe, offering a wide variety of tips and helpful information about caring for a wide variety of different things like: proper diet, cage requirements, etc.

Clyde - :budgie:
Einstein - :greycockatiel:
Alyssa -

I think the first one should introduce the forum, channel, and collaborative concept. The members of the videos can change from video to video depending on who wants to participate or new members joining in (remember this might create more interest in the forum). So if anything, members should have a subtitle, closing credit, or mini intro in each video they participate in rather than a specific introduction in the first run.

This was the original concept I came up with for a first video. So that's a starting point to think about.

The whole intro could be solved if you appear in the video with all your birds and a subtitle that says Alyssa. With so many participants, viewers may not remember people from video to video so having a long term intro/credits solution is important. This way you are free to actually present something that will interest the viewer rather than 10 people introducing themselves and not really getting to any point that would be of interest to unrelated (non-forum) viewers.

Great idea Michael.

I have subscribed for now and can see myself being a contributor at some point. Not right now .... things have been very busy lately.

I look forward to seeing all the videos though.

I would be happy to be the channel maintainer, should we perhaps have more than one?

Great idea, will be watching from afar. Picked up a Congo African Grey 2 year old rescue, kind of, um, preoccupied with feather things right now. So glad to see things progressing in the message to our unfeathered friends! Keep up the good work! Will help when I can!
