The reason why I posted this here instead of the Lost and Found thread is that this is still another professionally trained bird that flew off. Thankfully, it was found and returned (I would have kept it because a zoo is no place for a macaw) but this illustrates the folly of free-flight: you simply cannot expect a bird to come back every single time!
