In NZ, CAG (named Fonz the third and I wonder what happened to Fonz I and II...) flew off his owner's shoulder (is people really as naive as to think that a bird will not fly off EVER?)

Marley CAG lost in Saunderland, UK (poor owner climbed up a pipe to get his bird from the roof where he had flown to, fell down and broke both feet so he is now in hospital desperate for help to find his bird).

I spent 3 days in a cemetery trying to catch a little blue budgie who had been hanging out there. I never got close enough. He was getting water from the creek. I assume he was eating. He looked great, but I was never able to get him.

You know... I don't know why somebody has not come up with a cage that closes once the bird goes into it.... something like the humane traps we use for the feral cats.

Bird flew away from petstore where he had been taken for clipping but was later found - thank goodness for that!

Hy that had flown out of petstore has medical issues - but, for some reason, this does not smack me of true. I mean, you have a bird that is worth thousands and thousands and you do not have enough money to take it to the vet for treatment?! Also, this is not something the bird caught while lost, this is an old problem that has never been looked at because low white cells is not something that happens in a matter of a couple of days...
