Since time is short till I get the parrot and I need a good name, I've turned this into a contest to see if I can get more ideas. Anyone that posted previously on the forum or posts a name idea hereafter on the video or forum is equally eligible. Basically it all comes down to whoever suggests a name that ends up fitting perfectly. Thanks.

I'm going to officially submit my favorite name for your Cape.

Ziz - The ziz is a giant bird in Jewish mythology, said to be large enough to be able to block out the sun with its wingspan; perhaps somewhat similar to a roc. Some say that the ziz was created to protect all of the class Aves and that if the ziz did not exist, all the smaller birds on Earth would be helpless and would have been killed.

Plus, Kili and Ziz sound nice together.

Alright I've got some more for you. Sorry if there are any repeats.

Phoebus - the sun personified.

Ares- Greek God of war.

Aquila - The eagle constellation

Zephyr - light breeze

Pollux - one of the constellation Geminis twins and an Argonaut.

Ceyx (pronounced see icks) This one is cool for a parrot. He was the husband of Halcyone who upon his death threw herself into the ocean to die. The Gods changed them into Halcyon (Kingfisher) birds so they could be together. This is origin of the etymology for "halcyon days", the seven days in winter when storms never occur.

*** Zetes (zee tees)- Another cool one... son of Boreas the North Wind, he was an Argonaut and had wings! (another favorite of mine)

Daedelus - father of Icarus who also flew, but didn't fall.

Sorry, besides the unoriginality (not you, but the fact that it is a famous name) and the fact that there are other parrots by that name, I cannot use it. If it weren't a famous/used name I would highly consider it though. So keep coming up with (original) ideas of names like that. Thanks.

I'll take Zetes, sounds cool and original. The others once again fail the "search" test and are mostly too common. The Zetes one I had never heard of and couldn't find much results (unless it's misspelled). The only thing I don't like is it sounds like Ziti the food. I do like the Zee... sounding names so let's see what else we can come up with.

Zeed? Eh. What do you think of Zix? Pronounced something between Zigs and Six.

Kili makes me think of Kilimanjaro. I like the sounds of these names (other African Mountains):

-Meru
-Oku (I really like this one for a Cape for some reason)
-Mohi

There is also Kibo, the highest peak of Kilimanjaro.

Good luck, you have some great names to choose from so far. I always have such a tough time finding the right name.

Zo

Zoltan - Sultan, Ruler
