Put one in a cage with food and water and partial shade, next to the missing ones cage and lock the door, leave it to call for its buddy. Place the other in a small cage that you can carry with you along with a towel to provide shade and some water and go looking for the missing bird.
I went shopping to get a few things then when I came back home I was on my phone then I saw someone said they saw my bird near a park with a flock of birds near where I live so I went to the park and saw him in the trees eating with other birds I was so relieved and happy lucky the trees aren't that tall so I went home got a ladder my sister helped me out and they were still there I reached up to get him but obviously the other birds flew away he was about to take off when I grabbed him I hugged and kissed him so much I took him to the vet for a checkup and he was in perfect condition I just want to thank everyone for their help I really appreciate it
Your bird is like my neighbors kid. The stress I went through was unreal. Don't you, as Rambo says,"ever ever ever" open a cage outside again. Okay, I got that out of my system.
You really did good. You came in the forum to ask for help and followed through with everything you were told. Good work.
Happy reunion to you. I hope you will stay with us in the forum.
Just keep on trying. Carry his favorite food item with you as well as binoculars and, when you hear his voice, try to locate him and, if you do, get yourself a ladder and climb up as close as you can, calling him and offering his favorite food. Don't wait for him to come down to you because he won't do it. You need to go up to get him wherever he is perching.
