I like your photos a lot. Did you have someone take them for you or self timer?

Here's some of mine. I don't have very much and they're rarely good because I usually have to get someone else to take them and because the bird moves around and gets distracted, we usually have to go for quantity rather than quantity to find some where the bird is looking straight and not messing around with my clothes. Wait till you see Kathleen's, smoking hot...

That is just too cute. Piper looks really happy and Shade looks like such a Senegal! Glowing curious eyes.

One per shoulder, piper on head, and then one parrot on each hand! I don't know how you'll be able to take a picture when you get the 6th one! Super cute. You gotta get a shot with all your birds. It will be unbelievable!

BTW, what do you think of flash/strobes and birds? Are they ok to them as we are? It seems to me that it's not a big deal but I hope it doesn't hurt their eyes...

Shade and Zuri might share a shoulder if Petey ever wants to sit on my hand without biting.

Birds and strobes? I don't particularly like it. If I can avoid it, I don't use it. It's probably not any pleasant for them as it is for us (I don't really like it).
Plus, if it's not properly done, I don't think it does their colours justice.

So what do you use? Hot lights? Day light with reflectors?

Personally I'm really nervous about hot lights around the birds these days because they can fly and I'm not sure if they'll know to avoid it!

Only natural light.
I use my white walls and ceiling as reflectors in a way.
