I have cats and no problems - now. It's only the young cats that you need to watch like a hawk and correct if/when they show too much interest in the bird. But, if I were you, I would not get a munchkin, a bambino, a minuet or any other breed of cat with short legs because, although they look kind of cute, in reality, you are talking about an animal bred with the dwarfism gene and that means also physical problems -dwarfism doesn't only affect legs, it affects internal organs, too.
