I think he is she and the poor little thing is in season (heat).

All you can do is be sympathetic to her. She is really distressed.

Check the gloop recipe and use it for the base of her food supply. You need to add fresh fruit and vegetables as well as whatever veg you are cooking without salt or butter.

I know you believe you have been feeding her properly but guess again. I took in an adult DYH Amazon who was loved and cared for. I knew nothing about the big parrots so I was feeding what the previous owner told me to. He is a talker and would tell me when he smelled something that he wanted.

The forum told me about the gloop (cooked grain) and I am super amazed at what he has done. I called him my pedestrian because he could not fly. He did not have flight feathers. 20+ and this years molt he grew flight feathers.

With the help of the forum I now know that Rambo is really a she.

It appears to me that you have a highly hormonal female grey parrot. I have a female Grey and this is the same as she does, although not as insistent. I will suggest that you place her on a solar light schedule, slowly change her diet to gloop and fresh raw veggies and fruit with about 1/4 to 1/3 cup of seeds for dinner, and I also recommend that you quit clipping her wings.
None of this will make much difference in her behavior this year but if you start now, it will make a difference next year.
