That's awesome! Not sure how I'd feel about a :senegal: without a "vest," though. The CAG mutations really had me weirded out.

The red bellies seem to be very rare here in Sweden too, but I know one however. Look at his nice red belly (he is more red in reality than the picture shows though):

Well they are all pretty of course but that is an impressive vest on the red belly! Thanks for sharing.

I never knew there were different variations of this already beautiful bird.
I don't mean to push the topic off in anyway but if you place.
http://www.poicephalus.nl/soort%20seneg ... pegaai.htm into the google search bar it can translate the page from Dutch to English.

I just found this forum today and it's so great to see all of the Sennies!

Boz
Male (guess)
Mesotypus (I think...)
24
2-3 mos (I was 13, now 37)
Silvery yellow (don't remember)
Don't know. Don't have a scale. :)
Favorite Foods: apples, carrots and oranges.
Temperament: definitely "my" bird. We didn't know about their proclivity to bond with one person and therefore did not socialize him to be otherwise. He does like my one sister as well, but he will not tolerate anyone else. Seems to have a particular dislike of men. :/

I'm on a new computer and don't have any pics on here, but I promise to post some tonight. :senegal:

Name: Monkey
Gender: Unknown but I 'know' he's a male. In my heart.
Sub Species (if known): Yellow-bellied.
Current Age: 5 months
Age at which you acquired: 2 months.
Eye color (and age at which it changed): Still grey.
Minimum, Maximum, and Typical Weight in Grams: I can't get him in the scale; he doesn't like it.
Favorite Foods: Literally anything he can get his greedy beak on! Likes his nuts, seeds, vegetables and fruit in equal measure. He loves his chilli peppers.
Temperament: A little star. Doesn't bite, doesn't scream, is simply a clownish cuddly little thing that loves all humans with an eye for mischief. Is scared of some of the most random of objects, particularly a little red bouncy ball which is now on top of my indoor aviary to stop him grabbing the finches from above.

Image
Here he made himself a little moustache out of finch nest material.

Destroying a monkey nut.

Waving to get a treat.
